Dr. Nalia Gurgel is a General Dentist at Assiniboine Dental Group in Manitoba
Dr. Nalia Gurgel earned her dental degree in 2003, followed by a residency in implantology in 2006 and a master’s degree in prosthodontics in 2010. In 2017, she moved to Ottawa to pursue a PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. In 2025, she completed postdoctoral research in Ottawa and joined the University of Manitoba’s Dental School as a professor.
With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Gurgel practices general dentistry with a focus on implant dentistry and oral surgery. She also provides multiple sedation options for patient comfort. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage sons, and staying active through biking, running, and socializing with friends.
